About the Role
Ready to be the indispensable backbone of our Human Resources team? We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-focused HR Administrative Assistant to keep our daily operations running like clockwork. You'll be a critical support system for the entire HR department, handling everything from data entry to onboarding. If you’re a pro at multitasking, committed to handling confidential info with care, and love helping people, this role is for you!
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
Employee Records & Data Management (We use Bamboohr!)
- Own the data integrity! You'll manage and update all employee files (physical and digital) using our HRIS, Bamboohr, ensuring everything is accurate and strictly confidential.
- Process all employee lifecycle changes—from entering new hires to handling transfers, promotions, and off-boarding paperwork.
- Keep track of important time data like vacation, sick leave, and other absences.
- Help us stay compliant by running regular audits on employee files and HR databases.
- Prepare and organize HR documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, and termination paperwork.
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
- Team up with recruiters by posting job openings on various platforms and keeping our applicant tracking system (Team Tailor) clean and organized.
- Be the scheduling wizard, coordinating interviews between candidates and hiring managers to ensure a smooth, quick process.
- Follow up with new recruits to gather all the necessary paperwork and documentation needed to officially bring them on board.
- Run pre-employment checks, including employee reference checks
- Send out the final Offer Letters and Contract Agreements
- Get new hires ready for their first day by prepping welcome packets.
Payroll & Benefits Assistance
- Support the payroll preparation process by submitting necessary data, such as timesheets, overtime hours, and leave information.
- Work closely with the payroll and benefits specialists to quickly sort out any employee questions or issues.
General HR Support & Administration
- Keep our team organized by scheduling important HR meetings, training sessions, and company events.
- Help craft reports, presentations, and internal updates for the HR department.
- Handle all sensitive information with the utmost discretion—trust and professionalism are key here.
- Jump in and help with other administrative tasks needed to keep the HR function effective.
Qualifications & Skills
Background & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is a bonus!
- A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in an administrative or HR support role. More experience in the HR field? That’s fantastic.
Technical Know-How
- You should be comfortable navigating the Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with HRIS and ATS is a HUGE plus.
- Strong, accurate data entry and typing skills are essential.

Location: Mauritius
Start date: ASAP
Full time position: (Permanent after 6 months probation)
